Benjamin Baker has served as a Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of GDEV since June 2020. Prior to joining GDEV, Ben was a Managing Director of Delaware River Solar (DRS), one of the leading solar developers in New York State. He joined DRS in early 2018 during the company’s initial phase of early-stage development, with a focus on building the company’s balance sheet, refining the company’s strategy, implementing process and executing the company’s ~300 MW pipeline. During his time at DRS, he led all capital raising activity, securing over $100 million of committed facilities including development capital, construction capital, tax equity and term debt. He also led the firm’s M&A activities, managing the sale of ~125 MW of assets and the acquisition of over 50 MW. Prior to his time at DRS, he was a Vice President at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, where he was primarily responsible for leading origination and portfolio management within the Hudson Solar Infrastructure Fund. Prior to Hudson, he worked at GE Energy Financial Services, the energy investment business of GE Capital. Earlier in his career, he held positions in solar development and investment banking. Ben received his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA from Columbia College.


Youssef Bargach is an AVP at GDEV. Youssef started his career in climate consulting at Guidehouse Inc., with a focus on commercializing high impact decarbonization technologies. Most recently, he served as VP at a single-family office, leading investments in early-stage deep-tech ventures across the climate and agriculture sectors. In this role, he managed the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio company support. He brings deep technical and sector expertise, particularly in waste-to-value systems, biofuels, and commercial building decarbonization. Youssef holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously earned both an M.S. and a B.S. in engineering from Tufts University.


Trixie Blair is a Principal at GDEV. Prior to GDEV, Trixie was a Vice President at Evercore Partners, focused on M&A advisory for power, utility and renewable energy companies. She advised on over $15 billion of transactions including the sale of Pattern Energy to CPP Investments and the sale of Eagle Creek Renewable Energy to Ontario Power Generation. Before Evercore, she was is the Global Markets group of HSBC in Asia Pacific, focused on controls and risk management. Trixie received her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with a degree in Business Administration and Accountancy.


Jerome Briens is a Vice President at GDEV, joining the team in January 2023. Prior to GDEV, Jerome was an Assistant Vice President at EIG Global Energy Partners. In that role, he led investments across the capital stack for renewable energy developers and renewable and conventional energy projects globally. He started his career in the natural resources group of Societe Generale CIB between London and New York, structuring debt financings in the upstream oil and gas sector. Jerome holds a Master in Management from ESCP Europe in Paris, with a dual track in Oil & Gas Engineering at Institut Francais du Petrole School.


Daniel Drucker is the Fund Controller of the GDEV Funds. He started his career with audit experience at firms such as KPMG and WithumSmith+Brown, focusing specifically on Private Equity Funds, Hedge Funds and Fund of Funds. Since joining GDEV, Daniel has used his working knowledge of fund operations to support the GDEV Funds in various fund management responsibilities such as financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and treasury. He is a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey. Daniel earned his B.S. at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.


Rushabh Nahar is an AVP at GDEV. Prior to joining GDEV, Rushabh was an Associate at Riverbend Energy Group, a Houston based Private Equity fund investing in technologies and services enabling decarbonization where he focused on financial modeling, due diligence and origination of new opportunities in the Energy Transition space. Before that, he worked with a leading petrochemical company in their Project Development and Investments group where he evaluated investment and project development opportunities in the waste to value, green hydrogen and CCUS space. Rushabh earned his M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Fergusson College.


Thomas Obermeier joined GDEV as an AVP in 2024 from Octopus Energy Generation, where he was a Senior Investment Associate. At Octopus, Thomas helped establish the North American investments team and played a key role in closing Octopus’ first US generation investment, acquiring a 100 MW portfolio of utility-scale solar assets in PJM. Prior to joining Octopus, he was a Senior with EY’s Power & Utilities and Infrastructure Transaction Advisory Services team, where he advised financial buyers on the acquisitions of ~600 MW of operating wind assets and of a short line rail and port operator. He also was a CPA and Audit Senior with Deloitte & Touche. Originally from Germany, he is fluent in German. Thomas received an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BBA from William & Mary.


Quinn Pasloske is a Managing Director at GDEV, working on principal investments, fundraising and portfolio management; he joined the newly formed group in 2021. Prior to GDEV, Quinn held multiple direct investing positions on both the buy side and sell side of the energy industry, focused primarily on renewable direct investment. Before joining Greenbacker, he worked at Nomura for four years where he was a founding member of the infrastructure and power finance group. During his tenure at Nomura, he led the underwriting of over $1.5 billion of credit products to renewable energy assets and portfolios. Before Nomura, he was in NRG’s corporate finance group, working on M&A transactions, project financings and corporate financings. Quinn graduated from Fordham University with degrees in Economics and Sustainable Business.


Alexander Worthy is a Principal GDEV. Prior to joining GDEV, Alexander was a Vice President at Onyx Renewable Partners, a leading solar and storage development platform founded by The Blackstone Group and presently owned by Sustainable Development Capital LLP (“SDCL”). During his tenure at Onyx, he played a key role in all of the firm’s capital markets activity and raised substantial capital across numerous construction debt, term debt, and tax equity facilities. He was also actively involved in M&A, overseeing the successful sale of 114 MW of distributed generation assets, 900 MW of utility-scale development assets, as well as the platform sale to SDCL. Before his time at Onyx, he was an associate at New York Green Bank where he originated, structured, and managed credit transactions in the sustainable infrastructure space. Alexander received a BA from the University of North Carolina where he graduated with Highest Distinction.
Peiwen Zhang is an Associate at GDEV. Prior to joining GDEV, Peiwen was an Associate at SB Energy, a solar developer backed by SoftBank Group and Ares Management. In this role, she raised project financings including debt and tax equity and oversaw the execution and diligence of utility-scale renewable projects. She started her career at Nomura Securities where she supported the underwriting of large-scale infrastructure and power projects, with a focus on renewable energy. Peiwen received an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from Swarthmore College.
